With over 40 years of experience in the overhead door industry, 35 of those years spent serving Grande Prairie and the Peace Country—Blair is one of the most trusted names in the business. He is well known by local builders and contractors for his integrity, work ethic, and hands-on expertise, Blair has done it all. As Manager, Blair brings unmatched knowledge to the table—but his title only tells part of the story. He’s a hands-on leader, always ready to tackle any challenge and step in wherever he’s needed. Whether it’s installing doors, servicing doors, troubleshooting issues, fixing broken tools in the shop, running the forklift and bobcat, doing yard maintenance, or out in the shop pulling together orders and parts. Blair is rarely at his desk. He prefers to be where the action is working closely with technicians when needed and ensuring everything is done to the highest standard. In addition to his day-to-day involvement on the shop floor and in the field, Blair also handles some of our Commercial Overhead Door and Hollow Metal Man Door estimating, and helps customers at the front counter with parts inquiries, and provides troubleshooting advice to customers offering reliable guidance backed by decades of experience. Outside of work, Blair enjoys camping and fishing with his wife and daughter—relaxing outdoors after a week of keeping things running smoothly at Northern Doors. With Blair, you get a hands-on leader, a seasoned expert, and someone who’s always willing to roll up his sleeves to get the job done.

Shane was born and raised in Grande Prairie and grew up immersed in the door industry from an early age. His overhead door journey began in 1973 when his father founded a local door company—sparking a lifelong passion that took root early as he worked alongside family, learning every facet of the trade from the ground up. With over 37 years of experience, Shane has become a trusted expert in Commercial Door Installations. He’s known not only for his extensive technical knowledge but also for the exceptional customer service he brings to every job. Shane thrives in the field, working directly with customers, mentoring team members, and ensuring projects are completed with care and precision. Though he’s a seasoned installer and technician, Shane also plays a vital role behind the scenes. Beyond the field, he helps coordinate the products required for the installers and service technicians, receives and organizes incoming product, and completes many of our jobchecks to ensure everything stays on track and up to standard. When he’s not working, Shane loves spending time with his family and friends—whether it’s relaxing at home, driving around his classic car, or exploring the great outdoors on his riverboat in search of the next big catch. With Shane, you get decades of knowledge, a calm and capable presence, and someone who brings consistency, care, and leadership to every part of the job.

Candi began her career in the overhead door industry in May 2005, also bringing with her a background in art. Over the years, she has worked closely with a variety of leading overhead door manufacturers, building a wealth of product knowledge and design expertise. Her passion lies in helping homeowners and builders find the perfect garage door that fits both their style and budget. Candi offers free personalized design consultations, using her creative eye and industry experience to guide you through every option from colours and finishes to styles and materials.
